If the new rules for superannuation become law, retirees with substantial super will need to allocate their holdings between pension and accumulation phases. This is an important decision. It is critical the Government resolves the issue so retirees know where they stand. Either way, property is a great superannuation fund investment, but it’s just not fair that retirees, who are past their working life, cannot plan without fear the rules will change.
